Session details

In this session, industry leaders and legal tech experts explore how artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming litigation practice across three distinct levels: supportive, replacement and disruptive technology. At the support level, AI assists lawyers in performing time-intensive tasks such as document review, legal research and discovery, enabling faster and more accurate outputs without altering core legal processes. Moving to replacement technology, AI tools begin to substitute traditional roles, automating contract review, case analysis and even initial brief drafting. Finally, the panel will delve into disruptive AI, which fundamentally changes the litigation landscape. With advances in predictive analytics and complex AI systems capable of analysing case outcomes, AI could soon challenge existing workflows, potentially making some traditional litigation roles obsolete. By combining insights from academia, hands-on practice and technology development, this panel offers a nuanced view of how each level of AI impacts the legal landscape, equipping attendees with diverse perspectives on adopting and adapting AI in their practices.
