Description

The mock trial is an attempt to stage a trial in which ‘corruption’ is present in various ways. The trial will involve setting up a scenario where individuals are accused of participating in corrupt activities on behalf of multinational corporations in the context of international business transactions. It will provide an opportunity to explore both individual and corporate liability, and the complexities of addressing corruption in Mexico’s context. It will also delve into the possibility of attempting amicable solutions and the legal instruments to recover funds that were transferred as bribes.

The mock trial is a joint initiative of the entire IBA Criminal Law Section.
