Biography

Hugo Teixeira is an executive member of the Board of Directors at Abreu Advogados. Partner, and at the firm since 2007, he is part of the Corporate, Commercial and M&A team, working primarily in mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, and commercial contracts. He focuses particularly on corporate and financial matters, mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, corporate restructuring, asset purchases, creating investment vehicles, start-ups, preparation for private equity funding and venture capital financing. As part of his mergers and acquisitions work, he conducts corporate and commercial due diligence, and attends to acquisition structure, and the negotiation and drafting of contracts. He has extensive experience in the financial, sports, energy, health food and beverage, real estate and transport sectors. He has conducted several project implementations in Portugal for foreign group companies and led multidisciplinary teams to ensure client support in all areas required for successful implementation. He has also been involved with transactions in Mozambique, advising and providing support by networking with lawyers participating in Abreu International Legal Solutions service.
