Biography

Senior legal executive with over 30 years of experience across leading law firms, multinational pharmaceutical companies, and AI technology scale-ups. He specializes in artificial intelligence law, cross-border M&A, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance, having served as Vice-President of Legal & Compliance and Data Protection Officer at Unbabel, and previously as Legal Affairs Director at Pfizer Portugal and Ethics & Compliance Officer at GSK Iberia & Israel. He is Co-Founder of the Center for Responsible AI, researcher at FCT (Bridge AI Project), and a frequent lecturer at universities and international forum including the European Commission and WIPO. Recognized in the Legal 500 Powerlist (2024 & 2025) and winner of the European Counsel Award (2024, IT category), Pedro is also a regular columnist and speaker on AI, IP, and legal innovation.
