Biography

My experience extends to twenty-five years advising and representing clients in automotive, manufacturing, technology and FMCG sectors and start-ups. Following my studies in Ankara, I have attended studies on economy and business management in Istanbul and Geneva. Together with our core senior team and our solution partners, we offer strategic legal solutions on greenfield and brown field investments, manufacturing, distribution, product liability & safety, homologation, corporate and tax matters and represent our clients in litigation and government proceedings. Prior to starting Akin Law I was in-house for a decade as corporate secretary of a prominent automotive brand responsible for legal, lobbying and compliance matters. I like reading, thinking and discussing on legal ethics and notion of justice, which resulted in a number of publications on justice, ethics and compliance. I also have contributed in various published studies on intellectual property and refugees and took the stage on various conferences and symposia. I am a proud father of a daughter and a fan of wild camping.
