Mohamed Shelbaya

Biography

Mohamed Shelbaya is a founding partner at GBS Disputes Law firm. He is based in Paris and has represented companies, States and State owned-entities in more than 40 commercial and investment treaty arbitrations, with a particular focus on arbitrations in the oil & gas sector and/or arbitrations involving interests in the Middle East. Mohamed studied law at Cairo University (LLB), Panthéon-Sorbonne University (Licence, Maîtrise, and Master 2 in Private International Law), Panthéon-Assas University (Master 2 in Litigation, Arbitration and ADR) and Oxford University (Magister Juris). He speaks Arabic, English and French and is admitted to both the Cairo Bar and Paris Bar.
