Thursday 10 September (1600 - 1700)

Description

This session will take a forward-looking approach to an increasingly fragmented global environment marked by geopolitical tensions, protectionist measures, economic sanctions, regulatory divergence and growing uncertainty for businesses operating across borders. The discussion will address:

  • trade barriers and their implications for international business;
  • foreign investment restrictions, economic sanctions and export controls;
  • regulatory divergence across jurisdictions;
  • the interaction between international legal frameworks and domestic laws and regulations; and
  • the critical role of coordinated, multi-jurisdictional legal advice in providing certainty and mitigating risk in cross-border transactions and investments.
