This session will focus on different types of transactions and investments in technology, mainly in Legal Tech. Discussions will be held among other things: in innovation centres and clusters, sponsorship on booster ventures, start-up initiatives, fin-tech projects, business incubators and new trends and emblematic cases.

Fake news has become a huge concern around the world. The impact of fake information through social networks, internet and messaging applications has made this issue become one of the highest priority matters to tackle in recent years. On the other hand, we have seen that social media is replacing the traditional press, influencing millions around the world. This session will address, from different optics, the impact of fake news in society, democracy and the economy – and the different practical and legal alternatives that deal with this matter.

This panel will focus on the perspective of in-house lawyers about all new tech tools and new ways of providing legal services. What is innovative, what is adding value, is value being transferred to the client, how can law firms improve their service offerings by merging traditional legal services with innovative tools? What should companies expect from legal services providers in the years to come?
