Biography
Beatriz Pisano has more than fifteen years of experience in corporate, financial, regulatory law, compliance, and data protection. She is qualified to practice in Uruguay and Paraguay, where she also worked professionally as a lawyer. She holds a Master’s in Financial and Tax Law from the University of Valencia and specialized training in maritime law from Lloyd’s Maritime Academy and the Metropolitan University of London, as well as training in negotiation and anti-money laundering prevention.
Currently, she is Senior Legal Associate at Cubico Sustainable Investments, a leading global investor in renewable energy with a presence in more than a dozen countries and a diversified portfolio of wind, photovoltaic solar, and solar thermal projects. In this role, Beatriz leads the negotiation of Management and Administration, Operation and Maintenance, and Engineering, Procurement and Construction contracts. She also advises on project finance, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), compliance, and environmental and energy regulation.
Previously, she worked as Legal Advisor, Privacy Manager, and Compliance Officer at DBCC Transport in the railway sector, and as in-house counsel and Compliance Officer at STILER S.A., focusing on construction, public-private partnerships (PPP), and administrative law. Her career also includes roles at Hughes & Hughes and Ferrere Abogados, participating in infrastructure, energy, hydrocarbons, and transportation projects.
