Biography

Lucía Ottati is currently Legal, Corporate Affairs & Compliance Manager at Coca-Cola FEMSA Uruguay, a position she has held since 2017. She is a lawyer with more than 20 years of experience, qualified in Uruguay, and prior to her experience at Coca-Cola she was legal manager in an oil and gas company with assets in several Latin American countries. Before becoming in-house counsel, she practiced law in prestigious law firms such as Hughes & Hughes and Guyer & Regules. As external counsel, she has advised different companies dedicated to a variety of activities, giving her a wide scope of expertise. In her current position, Lucía's main responsibilities involve providing advice to the company in all legal matters as well as having an active involvement in the strategic planning of the company's business plan. Further, in the Corporate Affairs department, she is in charge of relationships with the government and key stakeholders, follow-up of regulatory affairs, as well as crisis management and external communications. A very important part of Corporate Affairs includes the definition of ESG priorities and handling all sustainability-related issues of the company.
