Biography

Merve Taner serves as Legal Counsel for AI & Product Advisory at Erste Bank der oesterreichischen Sparkassen AG, where she advocates for legal departments to take on a proactive, front-running role rather than acting as a traditional back office. As a former attorney, she is responsible for the legal assessment of all AI use cases and AI-driven process optimizations across the Erste Group in Aus-tria. She also acts as the primary point of contact for AI-related legal matters within the group’s CE subsidiaries. In addition, she advises on AI governance within the Erste Group.
