Julien Pochet

Biography

Julien Pochet started his career as a practicing lawyer in Brussels in international law firm and joined Engie in 2007 as Chief Legal Officer for the Trading & Portfolio Management. He then moved to Chile in 2011 as General Counsel Chile focusing mainly in the development of energy and infrastructure projects. In 2015, he left Chile for Thailand and assumed the role of General Counsel & Ethics Officer of the BU Asia-Pacific (with a transfer in 2019 in the same function to Singapore). In 2021, Julien returned to Europe where he held the position of Chief Legal Officer for the Global Business Unit Flex Gen & Retail GBU combining this function until 2025 with a position as Head of Group Legal M&A. He has now returned to his home country where he is acting as General Counsel Engie Belgium and VP Legal & Ethics Europe.
