Biography

Paul Carman is practice group leader of the Tax Department at Chapman and Cutler LLP. He has extensive experience in representing taxpayers in a wide variety of finance and transactional tax issues and tax compliance issues. He has represented lenders, borrowers and participants in financial transactions for over 30 years, including a transaction that spanned 42 countries. Paul has spoken frequently on variety of tax related issues. With over 170 published articles, four portfolios and three books authored or co-authored, Paul is one of the most widely published authorities in U.S. tax practice.
