Biography
DR. BENNET KPENTEY (DBA, CVA, CPC) Dr. Bennet KPENTEY (DBA, CVA, CPC) is a Financial Advisory Consultant and Business Valuer with the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) credential by the National Association of Consultants, Valuators and Analysts (NACVA) of the United States. He is the Chief Executive and Lead at Sync Consult, a Management and Financial Consulting Firm in Ghana. He has 28 years consulting and professional experience. Prior to establishing Sync Consult, he worked with Deloitte and Touché Tohmatsu (1995-2000) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (2000-2002) in senior positions. He was a Lecturer in Strategic Management at the Executive MBA Programme of the University of Ghana Business School (2009-2018). He was also a Lecturer in Strategic Management for the DPP Masters programme of The Geneva Graduate Institute, Switzerland (2013-2018). In the past ten years, he has been integrating sustainability and Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) into businesses and projects to re-orient and position them for sustainable financing. He is actively involved in sourcing sustainable finance for infrastructure projects including hydro dam and irrigation projects, salt refineries, manufacturing industries, hospitality projects (hotels and resorts), hospitals, and real estate projects including a free zones project in Ghana. He has also been assisting businesses to integrate sustainability and ESG into strategies towards net-zero goals and pursue the benefits of carbon credits financing. In 2024, he was a resource person for AACVA (the body of business valuators) and trained business valuators in Africa on the integration of sustainability and ESG into business valuation analytical work. Earlier in 2015, as the Lead Consultant for InfoDev of the World Bank, he undertook a nationwide study and analytical work leading to establishment of the Ghana Climate Innovation Centre (GCIC). He assisting in raising the required funding of the GCIC. Bennet currently serves on the Valuation Credentialing Board (VCB) at NACVA, the Headquarters of the global business valuation body, in Salt Lake City, USA. He is the President of Africa Association of Certified Valuators & Analysts (AACVA), the Africa Charter of the world's largest business valuation body, Global Association of Certified Valuators & Analysts (GACVA) and serves on the Governing Council. Bennet holds a Doctor of Business Administration (Finance) from the Walden University, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA (2019) and an MA in International Relations (Economics Major) from the International University of Japan. He also holds a BA in Economics and Geography from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana. He is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) from NACVA, in the United States of America (2006) and Chartered Professional Consultant (CPC) from the Consultants Institute, USA. He is also a member of the Strategic Management Society (SMS), USA.
