Marissa Kardon Weber
Biography
Marissa is an international criminal and human rights lawyer. She specializes in strategic litigation on behalf of survivors of atrocity crimes and human rights violations, including dissidents, political prisoners, and targeted communities. She maintains a dynamic pro bono practice advising NGOs and governments on atrocity crime investigations and prosecutions. She also serves as Co-Chair of the International Bar Association's Human Rights Law Committee and is admitted to the International Criminal Court's List of Assistants to Counsel. Marissa has driven rule of law initiatives across global conflict settings, including in Ukraine, Russia, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Afghanistan, Myanmar, Bangladesh, and Seychelles. Previously, she led a truth commission's Reparations Unit and worked within the ICC's Office of the Prosecutor. Guided by victim-centered and trauma-informed practices, she zealously seeks justice and healing for survivors.
