Sara Aalamri
Biography
Sara Aalamri is one of the first Saudi women lawyers to be licensed to practice law in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. She graduated with honours among the first class of Saudi women law students to graduate from King Abdulaziz University, the first Saudi university to establish a law major for women in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Then she earned her LLM in Banking and Financial Law from Boston University School of Law. She is a partner at in the dispute resolution group at Clyde & Co and she is based in the Jeddah office. She has over 15 years of experience advising and representing local and international clients in litigation, Saudi arbitration and international arbitration. Sara is the Vice Chair of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) national Saudi Arbitration & ADR Committee and delegate to the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR for the term 2024-2027. She is a member of the Lawyers Committee of Makkah Region under the Saudi Bar Association appointed by his Eminence the Saudi Minister of Justice in his capacity as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Bar Association. She is also an officer at the Arab Regional Forum of the International Bar Association. In acknowledgement of her achievements, Sara was featured in the Boston University School of Law International Law Newsletter (Spring 2014), on the Women Lawyers Division of the Law Society of England and Wales website, and in local news and television. More recently, Sara was featured in the Boston University School of Law 150th Anniversary Commemorative Book, among the school's notable 150 alumni with influential achievements around the world, which was released in September 2022.
