Biography

Chrysostomos Nicolaou is the Senior Partner-Head of the Litigation department at Patrikios Legal. Chrysostomos has extensive experience in handling a wide range of claims and disputes in respect of commercial, civil and criminal litigation, both nationally and internationally, as well as administrative recourses before the Supreme Court of Cyprus. He handles cases and insolvency procedures for key companies involved in major industries, including amongst others, international trading, energy and Banking . Furthermore, he handles cases for the registration of international awards and foreign judgments and represents shareholders in internal company disputes, such as derivative actions for oppression of minority shareholders and fraud claims and has caused the issue, defended or opposed successfully ,within the framework of Cyprus proceeding and in aid of foreign proceedings and arbitration proceedings ,numerous local and worldwide interlocutory injunctions such as freezing orders, antisuit injunctions, injunctions for the appointment of receivers etc. In addition, he is a qualified mediator and is currently listed in the Cyprus Bar Association’s Register of Civil & Commercial Accredited Mediators.
