Biography

Joe Dutton is Energy Innovation Lead at specialty insurer AXIS. He leads strategy for underwriting teams on the energy transition, climate technology, and insurance product innovation. He has worked on UK and European energy policy, markets, and technology for over 15 years, across various roles in consultancy, academia and think tanks. Before joining AXIS, Joe worked at climate and carbon consultancy South Pole, and at energy think tank E3G where he led research programmes on energy infrastructure, climate and decarbonisation policy, and the future of energy systems under net zero
