Carolin Roßkothen

Biography

Carolin has been a junior partner with Oppenhoff since October 2023. She is part of Oppenhoff’s Corporate and Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group and of Oppenhoff’s French Desk. Carolin focuses on advising national and international financial sponsors, strategic investors, companies, institutions and family offices on complex national and cross-border M&A transactions. In particular, she advises on venture capital investments, private equity transactions and joint venture projects. She also has a substantial experience in distressed M&A and advises clients on corporate law and group restructurings. Carolin started her professional career as an M&A lawyer with a leading US law firm in Hamburg in 2016. She studied law at the University of Muenster and received her doctorate on corporate and insolvency law. In addition, she received a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in business law and restructuring and worked as a trainee lawyer in the Paris office of a leading US law firm. Prior to studying law, Carolin studied international business at Northwood University in Michigan, USA.
