Biography

Jorge Enrique Sánchez Martínez is a Compliance and Legal executive with over 20 years of international experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device, and financial sectors. He currently serves as Global Director of Ethics & Compliance at Astellas Pharma Inc., where he leads the compliance strategy for global brands including Xtandi, Veozah, and Xospata. He has successfully developed and implemented regional and global compliance programs across different markets around the globe, focusing on anti-bribery/anti-corruption (ABAC), data privacy, and third-party risk management. Prior to Astellas, he held leadership roles at ConvaTec, Experian, Bayer, and in the banking sector, consistently driving ethical culture and regulatory alignment. Jorge holds a Law degree from Universidad del Rosario (Colombia), postgraduate diplomas in Commercial Law and Capital Markets, and an Executive MBA from IE Business School in Madrid and is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese
