Biography

Amit Singh is the firm’s Head of South and Southeast Asia Capital Markets as well as the Head of the firm’s US practice in Asia. Amit is ranked Band 1 for international capital markets amongst firms based in Singapore by Chamber Asia-Pacific 2025 (1 of only 2 lawyers ranked in Band 1) and Hall of Fame for Capital Markets: Equity and Debt (Foreign Firms) by Legal 500 Asia-Pacific 2025. He is qualified to practice in Singapore, New York, and England & Wales. Amit advises across the entire range of equity and debt capital markets products. His coverage of jurisdictions and products is unmatched, and he has in recent years led on market-first, innovative, award winning transactions across Southeast Asia and wider APAC region, including Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Australia, India, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Fiji. Amit’s range of strengths includes being able to distil complex transactions, and provide innovative solutions accompanied by robust execution. His experience includes advising Nickel Industries Limited on its issuance of US$225m of senior secured notes issued on a private placement basis to Ares SSG and Farallon; a group of credit funds as investors in respect of the issue of US$525m Fixed Rate Exchangeable Bonds due 2027 by Vingroup Joint Stock Company; Apollo Capital Management on its US$750m investment of privately placed Senior Secured Notes issued by Mumbai International Airports Limited; and Continuum Energy Levanter, an SPV and wholly-owned subsidiary of Continuum Green Energy, on its Reg S/Rule 144A issuance of US$561m 4.50% Senior Notes due 2027.
