Biography

Anouk Theunissen is the Project Director of the Sudan Witness project at the Centre for Information Resilience (CIR). CIR is an independent organisation dedicated to exposing human rights violations and threats to democracy, including the spread of disinformation, through open source research and digital investigations. Anouk previously worked as open source investigator looking into human rights violations and disinformation, and prior to that as researcher focused on evidence-based humanitarian programming. She has a BA in History and a MSc in Social and Cultural Anthropology, from which she graduated with honours.
