Biography
International tax advisor for foreign multinational companies with interests in Latin America, and Argentine-based companies with activities outside Argentina. Graduated from Harvard Law School’s LL.M. Program and International Tax Program in 1998.
Have designed and implemented tax-compliant strategies for multinational enterprises, while actively participating in the Taxes Committee of the International Bar Association. Positive feedback between both activities has allowed me to build up an extensive network of professionals worldwide.
In 2010, I founded Passarella Abogados, an Argentine boutique tax law firm, which was awarded the Best Newcomer of the Americas Award by the International Tax Review that same year (this award is granted to up to five-year old new practices or firms). In addition to my tax work, I have routinely led coordinated efforts with other boutique firms specialized in other areas of the law to deliver tailor-made solutions to our clients according to our firm’s standards.
As a tax practitioner, I received the 2015 Client Choice award in Corporate Tax, and have been regularly recognized as thought leader in Argentina by Who’s Who Legal and as tax expert in Argentina by International Tax Review, The Best Lawyers and Euromoney Tax Expert Guide.
I have also taken time to educate future generations of tax practitioners, both as a professor atUniversidad Torcuato Di Tella’s Masters of Tax Law program and as author of chapters of tax books and articles published in well-known international tax publications.During the 2020 lockdowns, I led UTDT Global Tax Talks, a successful series of international tax policy dialogues with recognized scholars from all around the world, as well as global tax policy makers, from the OECD, the IMF and the UN, available at: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLmZkgXYrGwgjLtF0z62Thp1_My9OZyqU9.
