Biography

Dr. Nadia Rochdi, is the Executive Director of Products for Earth Information and Intelligence at NorthStar Earth and Space, where she is leading the development of innovative solutions leveraging Earth Observation and data analytics including AI/Machine learning, to empower environmental monitoring and sustainable management of natural resources. She holds a PhD in Earth Science and remote sensing, and a master in continental biosphere from the Institut National Agronomique-Paris-Grignon (INA-PG) of France. Nadia leverages over 20 years experience in applications development using airborne and space data for monitoring the condition of agriculture, forests, grasslands, and coastal and marine environments. Throughout her career, she has been actively engaged in advancing research and development to bridge the gap between satellite data and decision-making. She has led and contributed to numerous multi-stakeholder collaborations with industry and government partners across Canada and Europe. Her collaborators have included the Canadian Space Agency, Natural Resources Canada, the Department of National Defence, the Governments of Quebec and Alberta, the Canadian Coast Guard, the French National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA), and the French Space Agency (CNES).
