Adrián del Paso
Biography
Adrián del Paso is the Chair of the environmental, water, life sciences, healthcare & regulatory practices of Assembla, an innovative transactional multidisciplinary Law Firm based in Mexico City, with additional offices in Mérida, Mexico. With a solid track record of more than twenty one years of practice and experience, he has represented international and local companies in a wide range of industries, providing sound advice in these areas of the Law. Before founding Assembla, Adrián was a co-founding partner and contributed to the growth of a reputable mid-size firm based in Mexico City for more than 12 years, where he enhanced his entrepreneurial experience as a Partner and achieved market, peer and client recognition in his areas of practice, leading his prior Firm to achieve the accolade of Environment Firm of the Year in the 2023 edition of The Legal 500 Mexico Awards, aside from being shortlisted as Environment and Life Sciences lawyer of the year in the same edition. He was also shortlisted as Life Sciences lawyer of the year for the 2024 and 2025 editions. This year, Adrián co-led Assembla to achieve the Up-and-coming Young Firm of the Year Award in the 2025 edition of The Legal 500 Mexico Awards. From his prior experience and professional formation, Adrián worked in several top transactional Firms in Mexico, including Creel, García-Cuéllar, Aiza y Enríquez, S.C. Adrián holds a law degree (JD equivalent) from Universidad Iberoamericana -Mexico City-, a Master’s degree in Environmental Policy and Management from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, and an LL.M. in Business Law from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, among other environmental, ESG, real estate, health (life sciences), and business post-graduate degree diplomas, programs and courses from reputed Mexican and US universities.
