Biography

Wook Jin Rha is a Partner and Head of Global White-Collar Defense Team at Yulchon LLC in Seoul, South Korea. Wook Jin began his career as a Korean prosecutor in 2004 and served for 20 years, being in charge of numerous criminal cases involving corporate and white-collar matters etc. He has extensive expertise and experience in the fields of international crime, cross-border legal affairs, and defense industry, most notably through his service as (1) Director of the International Criminal Affairs Division at the Ministry of Justice, (2) Director of the International Crime Investigation Department at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office, (3) Acting Director of the International Cooperation Center at the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, and (4) Director for Legal Affairs at the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA). He left the Prosecution Service in September 2023 to join Yulchon. Since joining the firm, Wook Jin has led Yulchon’s Global White-Collar Defense practice, advising multinational clients on cross-border investigations, compliance matters, and defense strategies involving international enforcement actions.
