Biography

Charles Coorey is a partner in the Competition, Consumer and Market Regulation Group at Gilbert + Tobin. He is also the Co-Head of Gilbert + Tobin's Consumer and Retail sector group, Committee Member of the International Bar Association's Product Law and Advertising Committee, Member of the International Bar Association's Antitrust Committee and former Chair of the International Bar Association's Data Working Group. In 2024, Charles won the Lexology Client Choice Award for the second time in three years. The award is unique as the nomination must come from a client. Charles is also recognised in Chambers, Who's Who Legal, the Legal 500 and Best Lawyers. Charles' practice covers all areas of competition and consumer law, with a particular focus on private equity transactions and consumer protection enforcement work for misleading and deceptive conduct and product liability matters. His clients include a range of local and international private equity firms, as well as household names such as Coca-Cola, Meta, Kimberly Clarke, ResMed, Expedia and Etsy.
