Biography

Maureen Ward is a leading commercial litigator and Vice-Chair of the International Bar Association (IBA) Asset Recovery Committee. She has extensive experience leading high stakes litigation including those related to fraud and asset recovery proceedings domestically and internationally. Maureen was ranked by Chambers & Partners in their 2023, 2024 and 2025 Global Guide for Asset Tracing & Recovery, Chambers Canada for White Collar Crime and Government Investigations and in the Lexology Index 2025 for Asset Recovery. She represents clients from an array of industries in complex domestic and cross-border disputes and investigations including those related to contentious insolvencies, trusts, embezzlement, corruption, investment fraud and enforcement of international judgments and arbitral awards.
