Gregory Sullivan

Biography

Gregory is a Partner and the National Co-Leader of Deloitte’s Canadian Discovery and Legal Project Solutions team. Gregory regularly advises clients and their external legal counsel on matters relating to the eDiscovery process and oversees teams of project managers and contract lawyers on complex document review, due diligence, and investigation matters. His practice is particularly focused on competition/antitrust engagements. In this regard, he has assisted clients on dozens of Supplementary Information Requests (second requests), Section 11 (document production) Orders, Competition Tribunal matters, and internal investigations. He also supports clients with compliance-related matters, including facilitating internal training sessions. Gregory is a member of the Steering Committee of The Sedona Conference Working Group 7 (Sedona Canada). He has been recognized by Who’s Who Legal (now the Lexology Index) in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 as one of the leading eDiscovery experts in Canada. He is also the recipient of the 2022 Lexology Client Choice Award for eDiscovery Practitioners in Canada. Gregory’s international experience includes a two-year assignment with Deloitte Global Financial Advisory in Mumbai, India (2015-2016). During that time, he led Deloitte’s offshore Forensic team, which provides eDiscovery, document review, research, and investigations support assistance to our member firms in Canada, the UK, and Australia. Prior to working in the field of eDiscovery, Gregory spent almost a decade practicing competition law at two large Canadian law firms, including Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP. Gregory has an LL.M. from the London School of Economics (LSE), where he wrote his dissertation on private enforcement of competition law. In 2015, he was presented with the LSE Outstanding Alumni Volunteer Award in recognition for his on-going contributions to the school.
