Elikem Benson
Biography
Elikem is a Disputes Associate at Sam Okudzeto & Associates, a leading law firm in Accra, Ghana. She specializes in commercial litigation and negotiation with a focus on Employment and Industrial Relations, Intellectual Property, Banking, Product Liability and Reputation Management. In 2024, Elikem was awarded the IBA Annual Conference Scholarship by the Private Client Tax Committee, in recognition of her thought leadership on the technicalities of the real estate investment landscape in Ghana. In June 2025, Elikem was a recipient of the ICCA Inclusion Fund, an initiative which supports young emerging arbitration practitioners to engage more actively in the global arbitration community. She is currently the African Regional Forum Liaison Officer of the Young Lawyers’ Committee of the IBA, where she works to strengthen opportunities and networks for young lawyers. Beyond the IBA, Elikem is actively engaged in several International Arbitration networks including Young ICCA (International Council for Commercial Arbitration), the Young International Arbitration Group of the LCIA, and Young OGEMID (Oil-Gas-Energy-Mining and Investment Disputes). She has also served as a volunteer Research Fellow at the Institute for African Women in Law (IAWL), reflecting her strong commitment to championing women’s leadership and participation in law and policy across Africa
