Roger Benjamin James

Biography

Roger James is a London-based partner and co-chair of Ogletree Deakins’ Global Reorganisations Practice Group. He is recognised for his expertise in international employment issues and, in addition to his UK workload, advises multinational clients on the complexities of managing workforces across multiple jurisdictions. Roger’s practice spans the full spectrum of employment law, with particular focus on executive hiring and dismissal; RIFs and organisational restructuring; acquisitions, due diligence and post deal harmonisation; internal investigations and litigation; and matters involving unions and industrial action. Roger qualified in 1996 and joined Ogletree in May 2017 from an international firm where he had headed the Employment Team and split his time between the firm’s UK and Singapore offices. As such Roger has notable expertise dealing with labour and employment law issues in Europe and Asia.
