Biography

Matthew J. Chase is a partner in the Investment Funds Group in Latham’s New York office. Mr. Chase advises private fund sponsors in a broad range of matters, including forming, managing, and operating private funds. Mr. Chase’s practice focuses on representing sponsors in the formation and structuring of US and global private investment funds, including buyout funds, growth capital funds, co-investment funds, credit funds and venture capital funds. Mr. Chase also advises on a wide variety of matters related to private funds, including co-investments, internal sponsor arrangements, structuring portfolio company investments and exits, regulatory and compliance matters, and secondary transactions, as well as joint ventures, club arrangements, and other strategic partnerships and transactions.
