Adrian Leipsic

Biography

Adrian Rae Leipsic is a Partner in Cleary Gottlieb’s Private Funds practice focusing on the structuring, formation, and operation of private investment funds. His experience covers a broad array of private fund strategies, including leveraged buyout, special situations, distressed debt and loan origination funds, and private business development companies. He is actively involved in the social impact space, with a focus on clean energy and climate change initiatives. Adrian also advises fund sponsors in connection with negotiating “seed” investments, joint ventures and other internal arrangements. Adrian is a thought leader; he is regularly invited to speak and publish on private investment related topics. He was also a member of the Private Investment Funds Committee, New York City Bar Association from 2018-2020. Adrian frequently represents Blackstone, Brookfield, Cascade, Polychain, Sixth Street and TPG in a range of fund related matters. Adrian joined Cleary in 2006 and became a partner in 2015. He received his B.C.L./LL.B from McGill University, Faculty of Law.
