Biography

Eddie Chiu – Senior Associate at Bird & Bird in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (focus on Commercial IP, Franchising and Hospitality law). Eddie has been based in the UAE since 2019 and advises clients in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East region. He has assisted overseas clients with granting franchises and entering into distribution / supply agreements in the Middle East and a growing number of Middle East based franchises looking to expand internationally, working with well-known household names and new upcoming brands within the apparel, food & beverage, hotels, leisure facilities, and professional services sectors.
