Biography

Has over 20 years of investment banking and real estate investment experience; currently focuses on sourcing, consulting, evaluation and execution of real estate related investment opportunities in the US and Mexico. Liana moved from Asia to the US in 2015, and has closed over $500 million of real estate related transactions in California since then, across a number of asset classes including life science, R&D, industrial, commercial hospitality and residential, and including asset and entity levels. In 2017, Liana co-invested in a cryptocurrency mining facility and has continue to be investing in BTC. Liana started as an analyst for the Investment Banking division working on equity offerings and M&A in the UK, Hong Kong and China. Since 2004, her primary responsibilities has been underwriting and executing real estate related transactions in China and Hong Kong for various Morgan Stanley funds, as well as several Canadian pension funds, worked on and closed deals over $2bn in equity value. She also worked as a secondee at China Investment Corporation in 2008-10, and helped close the investment in Goodman Group in Australia, publicly listed A-REIT, and General Growth Properties in the US, through its chapter-11 process. Liana is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
