Biography
Dan is Chief Administrative and Legal Officer of Audax Group, a leading alternative asset manager. Audax has a legal team of 17+ lawyers. With offices in Boston, New York, San Francisco, and London. Audax has over $38 billion in AUM across its private equity, private debt, and strategic capital businesses. Audax Private Equity has completed over 170 platform investments and 1,250 add-on acquisitions. Before joining Audax in 2006, Dan was an associate at Ropes & Gray where, among other things, he represented Ben & Jerry’s, including in its sale to Unilever. In 1997, Dan clerked for the Honorable Mark L. Wolf, U.S. District Judge, and worked on the high-profile James “Whitey” Bulger case (U.S. v. Salemme). Dan was recognized by The American Lawyer for his mentoring and Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly as an in-house leader. He has co-authored articles on M&A topics, spoken on client service issues at numerous conferences and law firms. Dan graduated from Boston College Law School, summa cum laude, Order of the Coif, and Law Review, and from Dartmouth College, magna cum laude with high honors in history.
