Alastair heads Shoosmiths' International Committee, responsible for international strategy, relationships and targeting. He is a corporate partner who founded Shoosmiths’ market leading venture capital practice group, and is recognized for his M&A and venture capital expertise by both Chambers and Legal 500. Shoosmiths corporate team is the most active for venture fundings and M&A in the UK and one of the most active throughout Europe.

Alastair advises on cross-border M&A and venture and growth capital, both for institutions and companies/founders, across multiple funding rounds and ultimately exit. He is passionate about helping clients with both day-to-day and strategic issues. His practice is cross-border and he regularly assists non-UK investors and corporates on their investments and acquisitions in the UK and for UK clients on overseas projects.
