Biography

NdumAmaka Chijioke is a dedicated advocate for human rights and justice reform, specializing in addressing arbitrary detention practices in Nigeria. With a robust background in operations leadership within court administration and case management projects, she possesses invaluable knowledge of the challenges and injustices prevalent in the pretrial detention system. Her interdisciplinary perspective, rooted in her academic pursuits includes a Master’s degree in Media and Communications from Brunel University, London, and a first degree in English and Literature Studies which informs her advocacy efforts. Additionally, NdumAmaka holds certification as a Project Management for Development Professional (PMDPRO) from APM Group UK, further enhancing her proficiency in delivering exceptional results within the development sector. Her extensive experience in supporting institutions in the criminal Justice sector through capacity building underscores her dedication to promoting accountability and justice. She also has a proven track record of effectively overseeing and optimizing management processes within complex international donor-led projects sponsored by the EU, USAID, DFID, DANIDA, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, MacArthur Foundation, among others.
