Biography

Juan Manuel, Founding Partner and President at Converge Wealth Planning Inc, has an extensive background in law and tax issues and specializes in implementing wealth planning strategies for international families. Juan Manuel holds an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Miami, FL, with a specialization in International Tax, a Master in Colombian Tax Law from Colegio Mayor De Nuestra Señora Del Rosario, and a JD (equivalent) from Universidad De La Sabana, Bogotá, Colombia. Juan Manuel is the incumbent Regional Director for the Miami Initiative of Instituto Colombiano de Derecho Tributario. He is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, STEP, since 2007, served as a Board Member for STEP Miami from 2010 through 2019 and as President for 2018 and 2019. He is also a founding member of STEP Chile. Juan Manuel is a frequent lecturer at top international academic and networking forums about planning discussions for international families in Latin America with connections in the U.S. and Europe.
