Biography

Batur Oktay is Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Rad Power Bikes, North America's largest electric bike brand. At Rad, Batur oversees a small but mighty legal team which handles commercial, compliance, employment, government affairs, intellectual property, litigation, privacy, real estate, and regulatory. Before Rad, Batur spent nearly twenty years at Starbucks where he led the global intellectual property program focusing on trademarks, patents, and innovation strategy. Batur also spent several years heading the anti-piracy program at Adobe, and as a litigator at the Seattle law firm Foster Garvey. In his free time Batur plays guitar, takes walks with his Aussie-poodle Leo, and plays ping-pong with his two sons.
