Biography

My practice focuses on the full spectrum of corporate laws and transactional matters: M&A, representing strategic acquirers and sellers in cross border transactions, bidders and target companies; advising on venture capital and private equity transactions. Significant experience in the sectors of technology, manufacturing, healthcare and financial services. My expertise is also called for in the areas of corporate governance, managing risks and liabilities associated with compliance of ESG regulations and for managing high net worth private wealth clients. I lead our internationally recognized pro-bono practice. Prior to JSA, I was a foreign legal consultant in the USA until 2006 post which I co-founded a boutique law firm Vichar Partners that merged its law practice with J Sagar Associates (JSA) in 2014. I have been an equity partner with JSA since. My practice and skills are ranked by prominent international agencies, significant among them are: Chambers & Partners Asia Pacific ranking guide for 2021(M&A), 2022(M&A) Chambers Global ranking guide in 2023(Corporate Commercial, Band 1). 2022 (M&A) and in 2022(Private Wealth) RSG Consulting a premier global ranking agency ranked her as one among the 25 Emerging Market Leaders for India for the year 2019-2020. IFLR1000 ranked her as a Notable Practitioner in Private Equity for the Asia Pacific region for 2020.
