Biography

Wilhelmina HUGUET holds masters’ degrees IP and ICT law from University of Poitiers and is an alumnus of University of Cambridge (Trinity Hall). For nearly 10 years she has been working at SAIF as inhouse counsel. SAIF is a collective management organization which mission is to defend, collect and distribute copyright remuneration to authors of visual arts such as photographers, painters, drawers, architect, and graphic artist etc. As part of SAIF’s individual rights management department, she notably handles licensing negotiations and infringement disputes (settlement or litigation). She regularly participates to conferences, workshops and information meetings about visual artists’ rights, the defense of their interests and copyright collective management.
