Biography
I assist companies, states and state-owned entities in the resolution of complex, high-stakes and politically sensitive disputes arising under contracts, bilateral investment treaties (BITs) or multilateral treaties such as the Energy Charter Treaty. My experience spans Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Asia in a range of industries, including energy, mining, infrastructure and telecommunications. I have acted as both counsel and arbitrator and was appointed as a Member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration for the 2024-2027 term. I was also appointed to the ICSID Panel of Arbitrators by the Republic of Bulgaria from 2016 to 2022. I am grateful and humbled to have received recognition in Legal 500, Chambers, Who's Who Legal: Arbitration, and Who’s Who Legal: Mining. Chambers describes me as “an absolutely brilliant lawyer” “who, on complex matters, has the remarkable ability to combine strategic thinking with a great attention to detail." Legal 500 reports that I stand out for my “excellent leadership and strategic insight.” Clients describe me as an "outstanding legal counsel” who “always delivers quality for the client" (Legal 500, Chambers) and is “responsive, well balanced, practical and provides ground-breaking solutions" (Who's Who Legal). I serve as an officer on the International Bar Association's Arbitration Committee and the Institute for Transnational Arbitration.
