Biography
Attorney-at-law admitted at Madrid Bar Association (2010). Until 2018, worked in a law firm based in Madrid, Spain, specialized in sports law and focusing its practice mainly in contractual disputes involving clubs, agents, players and national associations before the FIFA judicial bodies and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). During this time, consulted externally for national associations and confederations in disciplinary and regulatory matters, as well as in dispute resolution. Appointed as UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector in January 2013, and served for over five years, being involved in several investigations of match-fixing and other disciplinary offenses in European football, as well as in proceedings before UEFA’s disciplinary bodies and CAS. Later joined UEFA in-house in September 2018, as Legal Counsel in the Integrity and Regulatory unit. Since September 2019, has been FIFA’s Director of Litigation in the Legal and Compliance Division. In this position, in charge of the coordination of all litigious matters before CAS and the Swiss Federal Tribunal in which FIFA is involved as a party.
