Eunice Chua

Biography

Eunice is the Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Industry Disputes Resolution Centre (FIDReC). FIDReC handles consumer disputes against licensed financial institutions in Singapore through mediation and adjudication. She has more than 15 years’ experience in mediating, managing and adjudicating disputes. Prior to her appointment at FIDReC, Eunice was an Assistant Professor at the Singapore Management University School of Law. She remains a Research Fellow of the Singapore International Dispute Resolution Academy at the School. Eunice is a Principal Mediator and Trainer at the Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC) and a Director of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Singapore Branch. Eunice has served as a Justices’ Law Clerk and an Assistant Registrar of the Supreme Court of Singapore. While at the Supreme Court, she concurrently held appointments as a Magistrate of the State Courts and Assistant Director of the SMC. She was also the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Singapore International Mediation Centre and played a key role in its initial set up.
