Member of the CMI Nominating Committee and the 'Implementation of International Conventions and Promotion of Maritime Conventions' standing committee. Ranked by Chambers Global, Who's Who Legal as a Thought Leader 2025, and listed in the Hall of Fame by The Legal 500 EMEA 2025 guide. Pro bono lawyer for the National Sea Rescue Institute. Current South African Class A ORC national champion keelboat skipper.
