Biography

Steve is Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, Human Rights, Microsoft Corporation. Since joining Microsoft in 1997 Steve has served in a variety of roles, including as the lead lawyer for Windows, VP and Deputy General Counsel for Entertainment and Devices (Xbox, Windows Phone, and television and music services), VP & DGC for Office, and VP & DGC for China strategy. Since 2013 he has led Microsoft policy development and activities at the intersection of digital technology and human rights.
