Biography

I lead the team at Slateford, a specialist reputation law firm whose focus is on entrepreneurial clients and their business interests, wherever in the world they occur. Areas of particular interest to the firm at the moment include: - Complex issues and disputes relating to business interests, particularly ownership, and the misuse of information by adverse parties. - Geographically mobile entrepreneurs whose ability to operate freely is threatened by how English language compliance and financial institutions treat their country of origin and biography. - Pressures on fast growing businesses vulnerable to scrutiny where gaps are perceived between their hype and performance. The firm’s client list includes some of the most exciting businesses in the world, as well as blue chip companies and sovereign assets; individual clients range from prominent investors and philanthropists to household name athletes. Our lawyers frequently work with clients and issues across continents.
