Biography

Ms. Plastino is a senior executive admitted to practice as an attorney in Argentina and New York, with 25+ years experience advising senior management and corporate teams from large public corporations in the digital technologies and telecommunications industries regarding legal, regulatory and corporate compliance matters, as well as in international transactional work in connection with acquisitions, commercial partnerships and investments in Latin America. She has a recognized ability to develop effective team work relationships within multi-cultural global organizations, lead regional projects, achieve measurable results, minimize and successfully manage legal risks, run regional legal department operations, adapt to business model changes, integration and transformation in rapidly evolving industries. In recent years, Valeria has strongly focused on corporate integrity, transparency and compliance, ESG practices, legal risk management, digital transformation and implementation of global corporate practices in Latin America. Ms. Plastino was the recipient of the Latin America Corporate Counsel Association (LACCA)’s General Counsel of the Year Award in 2017 and the Legal 500 GC Powerlist Argentina Award in 2019. She is a frequent contributor to professional articles and a speaker on GC’s forums and regional conferences on legal industry and in-house counsel’s career related subjects and is deeply committed to supporting women professional development in the legal and corporate careers. She is a member of WCD (Women Corporate Directors) Argentine Chapter and the Executive Sponsor for the Lumen Women Empowerment Group in Latin America (Women ERG). Ms. Plastino currently serves as statutory Board Member for Cirion Technologies’ operating companies in each of Chile, Perú, Colombia, Venezuela, México, Panamá and the United States. She also serves as Independent Director for Terminal Zarate S.A. (Grupo Murchison).
