Biography

Litigation partner with wide ranging experience in international commercial litigation and arbitration with the emphasis on maritime cases, financial restructuring and recovery procedures, international trade disputes and claims involving political risk countries. Clients include banks, ship owners and their P&I Clubs, service providers in the dredging sector, commodities traders, underwriters and private equity investors. Sits as an arbitrator as well. Member of the Netherlands Association for Maritime and Transport Law, the Netherlands Association of Transport Lawyers and the Arbitration, Dispute Resolution and Transport Sections of the IBA. Chairman of the Maritime and Transport Committee of the Dutch Arbitration Association. Languages: Dutch, English, German and French.
